Welcome to Girlguiding Greater Manchester West

The guiding County of Greater Manchester West extends from Swinton in the North to Bowdon in the South and provides a unique, girl-only space for girls and young women to develop and reach their full potential.

Guiding is open to all girls and young women from the age of 5 upwards. To find out which section is right for you, click here.

What is Girlguiding?

At a vital time in their personal and social development, we provide a safe, inclusive space where girls can be comfortable just being themselves

We give girls and young women a voice

As a truly girl-led organisation, we've always sought and acted upon the views of girls. We give girls and young women a voice by allowing them to take the decisions in their meetings, asking and valuing their opinions and on a national level, representing their views to decision makers and the public.

We promote equality and diversity

Our aim is to welcome even more members and supporters from a wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures.

We're relevant to today's girls

Empowering girls and young women has always been the organisation's focus but we've added concerts, peer education and affordable designer gear into the mix.

Dog show and Summer Fair
