Urmston Centenary Fun Day

On Saturday July 10th, over 300 girls and their leaders gathered at Urmston Meadows for Urmston Division's Centenary fun day.  In glorious sunshine, the girls and leaders enjoyed lots of activities ranging from painting clay plaques, making bracelets and key rings, creating fascinators, nail art, balloon modelling and face painting.  For the more adventurous there was a climbing wall, archery, sumo wrestling, tag rugby and bouncy castles.  A visit from Ranger Rob with his collection of animals was a highlight for everyone.  One brave Rainbow Leader (Sandra Egan) volunteered to carry an 8ft albino python around her neck!  The day ended with a barbeque and campfire singing, lots of happy girls and quite a few exhaused leaders.
