Rangers help restore a garden

Natural Recovery and Rangers

During the summer holidays Ashton South Rangers worked to improve a garden at Syrian House in Sale. They met for six weeks at the garden, during which time they planted several flower beds, worked in the vegetable garden and built a chain link fence. They worked with residents from the home and the project leader from Natural Recovery, which is a community group that aims to use nature as a way of aiding in the recovery of people with mental health conditions. Natural Recovery has built the Sensory Garden at Syrian House thanks to Ecominds funding, a scheme run by Mind on behalf of the BIG Lottery Fund.

All the structural work in the garden is now complete, but the group is looking for a new leader to help the residents maintain their garden. So if you would like to help then please contact Mimi at info@naturalrecovery.org.uk or 0161 905 2053
