Archivist

Rosemary Boardman

Role:

To catalogue and collect documents, uniforms and other memorabilia collected by members of our County over the past 75 years.

To loan out equipment and specialist boxes for Guides and Brownies to help them complete their 'Traditions of Guiding' badges.

About:

Over the past few years, Rosemary has added to and catalogued the documents, uniforms and other memorabilia collected by members of our County over the past 75 years. In 2010, there was a lot of interest in the collection and the uniforms were borrowed for events throughout our County. As a result of this interest, Rosemary has produced the first concise history of girlguiding in Greater Manchester West from 1910 to 1940. Leaders can contact Rosemary to borrow resources for exhibitions or specialist boxes for Guides and Brownies to help them complete their 'Traditions of Guiding' badges.

Outside of guiding, Rosemary is very involved with Rotary International, being the youth chairman for District 1280 and the Project Chairman for Eccles. Her other passion is photography, and you can often find her at guiding events, camera in hand.
