2nd Worsley Brownies at Coronation Street

Big Brownie Birthday Challenge Success

Brownies from 2nd Worsley have celebrated 100 years of Brownies by completing a series of adventurous and creative challenges - each linked to a milestone year in the history of one of Girlguiding’s best-known sections.

The group joined other rainbows, brownies and guides in their division on an exciting trip to the Coronation Street Tour to complete one of the challenges; to drink a cup of tea in an unusual place!

After choosing a range of tasks to take on together, each girl has received a special Big Brownie Birthday Challenge badge to mark her achievement.

Lucy Malcolm, a leader from 2nd Worsley Brownies said: 'Seeing the girls take on the Big Brownie Birthday Challenge has been fantastic. They’ve learnt loads of new skills, had a huge amount of fun and were really chuffed to get such a special badge.'

'The girls had a fantastic time at the Coronation Street Tour, they got to walk up and down the main street with access to Gail's garden and the back alley; we ate cake which was decorated with big brownie birthday symbols and enjoyed a cup of tea to complete one of the challenges'
