Adult and Trefoil Guild members have Fun Outdoors!

In the second 18 + event organised recently by our Outdoor Activities Adviser, Mavis Waters, leaders and Trefoil Guild members came together at Ashton Hall Equestrian Centre to complete one of the clauses of our County’s Fun Outdoors Challenge – ‘go pony trekking’.

‘It was a perfect day for a horse ride with the first buds of spring being visible on the trees and clear dry weather.

Most of the participants thought it was a great challenge, as many of them had not been on a horse for more than 20 years, with one never having been on a horse before in her life.

Although everyone was quite stiff when they got off, the general feeling was that it was great fun and they would try it again – although maybe not for a few weeks!’

Comments heard on the day were: excellent; absolutely fantastic; brill; relaxing.

After bell boating last year; the bike ride and pony trekking this, what’s next Mavis?!
