Davyhulme tackle The Crocky Trail!

Davyhulme District Guides take on the ‘Tunnel of Doom’ at The Crocky Trail!

59 Guides and 13 adults from Davyhulme District challenged themselves to the outdoor adventure trail in Chester thanks to a suggestion from a Guide!

Mary Marshall from Davyhulme District explains:

“The suggestion to go to The Crocky Trail came from one of the Guides in my unit during a discussion in the meeting. After some research, we decided to invite the other units within our District to enjoy this fantastic day out with us, and also to make the hiring of a coach more cost effective.

“This day out was easy to organise, however, the very physical nature of the activities made the whole experience a bit nerve wracking for the Leaders! All of the girls had loads of fun, and no one got injured – apart from one wasp sting.”

Evie Dalley, aged 10, said “The slides were really scary, but once I had been on it, I wanted to do it again! I can’t wait for us to visit again!”

Susan Barlow, District Leader, said “Even the youngest children managed to do everything and an old crock like me managed to get around the trail. I did have to miss some of the obstacles out, but I started off very well - I was quite proud of myself.”
