GMW Rangers' Chat and Climb
On Thursday 21st March our Ranger adviser, Catherine, held her first county Ranger event at Depot Climbing in Trafford Park.
Catherine has spent time visiting our Ranger units to get to know them and their leaders. On the night three units were represented and a total of 23 girls bouldered and rope climbed. The girls quickly got to know each other and there was lots of time to chat and have a good gossip. There was a great deal of team work which was lovely to see. Everyone was surprised by an extra, secret climber, Liz Southern, leader of Urmston Rangers, and there we were thinking she was taking pictures of the girls!
After two hours everyone was pretty tired but still smiling and a great night was had by all. The girls went away with a memento of their evening, not just their tired muscles but a craft to make a paracord keyring, so even climbing related. We cannot wait to see the finished items!
