Weaste and Seedley District Panto
On Sunday 15th December, almost 100 Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, along with some of their parents and siblings went to see “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” at the Dancehouse on Oxford Road. Many of them caught the metro to St Peter’s Square, while others met in the foyer for the opening matinee performance.
We were spread tetris-style across the auditorium, highly visible in our proudly worn uniform. The performance was excellent with a great mix of singing, dancing, slapstick humour and comedy. During the interval, we ate our small packed lunches.
For any leaders who are interested in taking their girls, booking is very simple. We contacted the box office manager during the summer holidays (always planning ahead!) and block booked a chunk of seats. We had until the first week of October to collect money from the girls and then book and pay for our seats. The manager gives us a good discount too so everyone only paid £8 for their seat, with 1 leader per every 10 girls going free.
